ONCOTECH REPORTS CONCLUSION ON "EFFECT OF DEUTERIUM DEPLETION ON TUMOR CELL PROLIFERATION"

The following is the Conclusion from the September 10, 1996 report by Oncotech, Incorporated located in Irvine, California:

"CONCLUSION"

"DNA synthesis in human tumor cell lines was inhibited by media prepared with deuterium depleted water. In general, this inhibition occurred after short periods of exposures of 1-6th and disappeared after 24-48h of exposure. The decrease in DNA synthesis was more prominent in cells synchronized at the GOG1 phase of the cell cycle via 24h incubation in serum-free media, and then transferred into the media containing 100% to 50% DDW, compared to non-synchronized cells. It is, therefore, possible that deuterium deficiency may slow the start of the cell proliferation."
